VSCS receives a Digital Learning Grant

Vincennes one of only 21 school getting funding for Mobile Innovation Stations

The Vincennes Community School Corporation recently received a Digital Learning Grant for sixty-five thousand dollars.

Eighty districts applied for the grant, and the VCSC was one of only twenty-one school that received the funding.

This grant will give class rooms mobile innovation stations, which Curriculum Director for the VCSC Barry Stone says will help students learn in new interactive ways.

The technology will benefit all classrooms, each school in the VCSC will get one cart of new technology each.

The VCSC is aiming to have the new machinery implemented into classrooms by next August.

Stone says their new acronym, PLAY, educates both the students and teachers.

The VCSC is excited to integrate new ways of learning into their classrooms.

Stone says they hope to build on the foundation of technology they already have in place.
