Ed Vantlin, 77, of Vincennes, IN, passed away March 31, 2016, at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Born April 26, 1938, in Knox County, he was the son of Raymond and Elizabeth “Elsie” (Wheeling) Vantlin.
Ed worked at Knox Co. Weights and Measures, and was a member of St. Vincent Catholic Church.
Ed is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Thomas) Vantlin, whom he married June 7, 1958; his children, Doug Vantlin, and his wife, Cathy, of Vincennes, Jeff Vantlin and his wife, Julia, of Mt. Vernon, IN, Laura Montgomery and her husband, Mike, of Vincennes, Janice Jones and her husband, Roger, of Vincennes, Lynette Langebrakeand her husband, Randy, of Holland, IN, Brenda Donovan, and her husband, Todd, of Vincennes, and EddieVantlin and Leah Stierley-Vantlin; grandchildren Beth Vantlin, Cara Gilmore, Amy Waldroup, Alex Vantlin, Shane Vantlin, Kaylin Holscher, Cory Montgomery, Emily Montgomery, Dustin Jones, Craig Jones, Abby Black, Cody Jones, Zach Langebrake, Leah Langebrake, Haley Langebrake, Ellie Langebrake, Katie Donovan, Anna Donovan, Noah Donovan, Olivia Vantlin, Avery Vantlin , and Lily Vantlin; great-grandchildren, Elliott Horrell, Leela Gilmore, Amy Gilmore, Lena Waldroup, Ry Waldroup, Charlie Holscher, Bryson Jones, Marshall Jones, Cambry Black, Laney Langebrake, and 2 great-grandchildren on the way; and his sister, Martha Althoff and her husband, Jim.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. David Fleck, on Monday, at 11:00 at St. Vincent Catholic Church. Friends may visit with Ed’s family from 2:00 – 7:00 on Sunday, at Goodwin Funeral Home. Interment will be in St. Vincent Cemetery.
