The Indiana Military Museum in Vincennes will pay tribute to those who fought in World War 1 this weekend. The event will commemorate what at the time was called the “War to End All Wars” and was one of the most deadly conflicts in human history.

Museum Curator Jim Osborne, says they’ve recreated a World War I trench out in the battleground area. Re-enactors will give tours of what life was like in the trenches. There will be staged battles taking place twice daily at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Osborne wants to host a WW I event each year until 2019, which will mark the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Versailles (Ver-Sigh) which marked the end of the war.

The weekend event runs 9 to 4 Saturday and Sunday. Outside exhibits are free. Admission to the museum is 5-dollars and 4-dollars for veterans and seniors.
