David G. Brasseur, 64, of 1775 East County Line Rd., Newberry, passed away March 2, 2016.
David was born on September 1, 1951 in Vincennes to Oscar and Mary Lillian (Dailey) Brasseur.
David retired as a Lab Technician from Essex Wire. He was a member of the St. Johns Catholic Church. An avid hunter he shot the 8th largest buck in the state of Indiana and largest in Martin County and also enjoyed fishing. David was always willing to help people when given the opportunity, and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and working in his garden.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Brasseur, his sons, Travis Brasseur of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Joe and his wife Tonya Brasseur of Vincennes, Phillip Brasseur of Vincennes, Jesse and his fiancé Diane of Whitehall, Michigan, Thomas Shultz Jr. ; his daughters, Jessica Lynch and her husband Christopher, and Mandy; his sister, Karen Owens of Lehigh Acres, Florida; his brother, Mark and his wife Nancy Brasseur of Vincennes; his grandchildren, Xavier Brasseur, Lillian Brasseur, Katelynn Brasseur, Logan Brasseur, David G. Brasseur, Nolan Ryan Brasseur, Abby Barrett, and Ava Barrett; and also several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and two brothers, Oscar Brasseur Jr. and Jim Brasseur.
A Celebration of David’s Life will be held at 6:30 pm Monday, March 7, 2016 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. David Fleck officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 3 until the service. Online condolences may be made at www.goodwinfamilyfh.com
