A former Princeton Police Chief has been arrested and charged in an on-going battery case.

According to the Gibson Co. Sheriff’s Office, Princeton Police Officers responded to the report of a battery in progress in the parking lot of the Deaconess Health Clinic on S Vail Street in Princeton. During the investigation, witnesses alleged that former Princeton Police Chief Ralph “Butch” Davis, 68, was involved in the incident.

Assisting in the investigation, a Gibson County Sheriff’s Deputy gathered statements from all involved parties, including Davis, who was then taken to the Gibson County Jail and charged with battery.
