Vincennnes Parks Superintendent Steve Beaman presented the city’s Redevelopment Commission this morning with a list of potential projects for Four Lakes Park. Beaman is seeking funding to repair the shelter house and restroom facilities at Four Lakes, repave the parking lot the city shares with Hill Field and add a splash pad.
Beaman told R-D-C members that renovations to the park are long overdue. Board member Marc McNeece agrees. He says it’s a quality of life issue which would help stabalize the neighborhood and increase development on that side of town.
The pricetag for the improvements totaled 382-thousand dollars. Beaman says some of the projects could be completed at a later time. The R-D-C board asked Beamon to make a formal application for with cost estimates for them to consider at their March meeting.
