Esther “Rose” Risley, 74, of Vincennes, IN, passed away February 15, 2016, at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Rose was a member of Franklin Heights Christian Church. She also was a volunteer with Helping His Hands and St. Vincent DePaul, among other groups.
Born May 26, 1941, in Vincennes, she was the daughter of Boyd Orlando and Lois (Launa) Evans. Rose was preceded by her parents, and her husband, William Risley, who passed away September 28, 2013.
Surviving are her children, Philip Risley and his wife, Patricia, of Seymour, IN, Cathy Prather of Lancaster, CA, Matthew Risley of Jefferson City, MO, Mark Risley of Silver Lakes, CA, Timothy Risley of Corcora, CA, and David Risley and his wife, Deanna, of Vincennes; a sister, Vickie Ervin of Reed, KY; a brother, Michael Evans of Indianapolis, IN; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Rose’s service will be conducted by John Nappo, on Monday, at 2:00, at Goodwin Funeral Home. Friends may visit with her family from 12:00 – 2:00 on Monday. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
