The Knox County Relay For Life is getting ramped up for its annual fund-raisier to fight cancer. Relay Spokeswoman Stacy Lee says the theme for this year’s Relay event is “Just Cure It”.

Lee says this year’s fundraising goal is 100-thousand dollars, the same as last year.
Lee says their main focus right now is to encourage individuals to form teams and come up with fund-raising ideas.
This year’s Relay is May 21st and 22nd. Lee says it will be held at Lincoln High School instead of Gregg Park. She says they received feedback from individuals, espcially cancer survivors who say they preferred having the event held indoors due to health concerns. However, Lee says they are planning to hold both outdoor and indoor events that weekend.
