Bicknell City Mayor Thomas  Estabrooke approached the Knox County Commissioners Wednesday about an inter local agreement for road work in the city.

Estabrooke stated that he has set aside $30,000 in city EDIT funds for road construction.

He asked the Commissioners if it would be possible for the county highway department to perform the work and thereby save the city some labor costs.

The commissioners says there would need to be a meeting between the City and County Highway Superintendant Donnie Mize to lay out a scope of work that needs to be done.

Estabrooke says the sooner the better, but not before waste water and sewer lines are properly ran through the city.

Estabrooke says this is not a small scale project, as they will be focusing on resurfacing more then just the main roads in Bicknell.
