A Vincennes resident was killed on Thursday morning in Princeton following a crash on US 41 close to Richland Creek Drive.Princeton Police told the Princeton Daily Clarion that 42-year-old Mathew Weiler of Vincennes was driving an ’08 Impala northbound and was hit by an eastbound FedEx truck. Weiler died from injuries in the crash. A passenger in his car, and the FedEx truck driver were taken to a hospital as a precaution. The truck driver was cited for failure to yield.
A Vincennes man was killed in a single vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon near Carlisle. Sullivan County Sheriff’s Deputies say a pick-up truck driven by 26-year-old Jackie Thomas was driving on County Road 700 South, when the truck left the roadway and rolled multiple times coming to rest in a farm field. Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sheriff’s Department believes ice caused the crash.
