River flood update

Flood warnings continue for the area rivers.

The Wabash at Vincennes is at about 25.5 feet this morning and moderate flooding will continue throughout the week.  The Wabash is forecast to fall below flood stage by Sunday morning. Kimmell Park remains flooded.

The White at Edwardsport is experiencing minor flooding with a reading this morning of just under 21 feet.  The river will continue to fall and be below the 15 foot flood stage today.  Most bottomland is currently flooding and water surrounds river cabins.  Old Vincennes Road and State Road 358 west of Plainville are still closed due to high water. Also 257 south of Washington remains closed.

The White at Petersburg is right around 23 feet and moderate flooding is continuing.  257 at the Pike/Daviess County line is still closed.  At Petersburg the river is expected to fall below the 16 foot flood stage by Friday afternoon.

The East Fork White at Shoals dropped below the 20 foot flood stage overnight and is at around 19 feet this morning.
