Its been a busy year for the Knox County Highway Department. County Highway Superintendent Donnie Mize told members of the County Commissioners last night that they were able to pave 23-miles of county road with hot mix and another five miles with cold mix. 100 culverts were installed and they graded close to 18-hundred miles of gravel roads.
Commission President Larry Holscher called the road work a good start.
In addition to Local Road and Street Funding, Holscher says the Knox County Council provided additional money for road maintanence this year. Holscher added they are already compiling a list of list of road projects they hope to work on next year.
