Paige Leanne Stader, 32, passed away at 4:15 pm on November 29, 2015 at her childhood home in Iona with her family by her side.

Paige was a 2002 graduate of South Knox High School, Indiana State University, and Indiana University, where she received her Master’s degree in journalism.

Paige was a member of the Community United Methodist Church. She had been a news reporter for the Huntingburg Press. And most recently, Paige worked at Vincennes University as an adjunct professor in the English Department prior to the return of her cancer.

Paige is survived by her parents, Brent and Nancy (Hendrick) Stader of Iona; her sister, Jill Smith and her brother-in-law Andrew of Evansville, and her niece and nephew Evan and Claire Smith; her grandparents Emmett and Marion Deem of Vincennes; her very special aunt, Grace Ready of Iona; her Aunt and Uncle, Rex and Ann Ready of Vincennes; her aunt Bonnie Ready of Iowa City, Iowa; her aunt Marlene Myers of Vincennes, and several cousins.

Paige was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ralph and Sabine Hendrick; her Aunt Clarisse Hendrick; and her uncles, Pete Ready and Jerry Ready.

A Celebration of Paige’s Life will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Community United Methodist Church with Rev. Cheryl Garbe officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Wednesday at Goodwin Funeral Home.
