Albert A. “Al” Snodgrass, age 78, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at United Methodist Village-South Campus in Lawrenceville.
Born February 2, 1937, in Evansville, IN, he was the son of Cleve Snodgrass, Sr. and Frances (Hall) Snodgrass.
He married Earlene Pinkstaff on December 7, 1995, in Henderson, Kentucky.
Al retired from United Mine Workers of America and then worked as supervisor for Morton Avenue Warehouse in Evansville, Indiana. He was a United States Army Veteran, having served as a Military Policeman while stationed in Italy.
Preceding Al in death were his parents and four brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Earlene, of Lawrenceville; four daughters, Kay Snodgrass of Evansville, Indiana, Pam Presley (Richey) of Evansville, Indiana, Melody Mitchell (Roger) of Evansville, Indiana, and Jamie Griffin of Oblong, Illinois; one brother, Owen Snodgrass (Dorothy) of Booneville, Indiana; three sisters, Irma Pfingston (Delbert) of Newburg, Indiana, Mary Sue Leslie (John) of Lynnville, Indiana, and Donna Cobb of Simpsonville, South Carolina; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Pollard Cemetery.
