A public forum is scheduled for 6 tonight at Tecumseh-Harrison Elementary

Tecumseh-Harrison Elementary School will be the site of a public forum this evening. The Vincennes School Corporation is seeking feedback on plans to renovate its four elementary schools.

While the first three forums have drawn a small turnout, School Board President Pat Hutchinson says they want to hear from the public and get their thoughts on what’s being proposed.

The cost for the renovations is estimated at 36-and-a half million dollars.

Vincennes School Superintendent Greg Parsley says renovations at Tecumseh-Harrison include a new modern glass entryway to connect the older and newer sections of the building. The new entryway would require a section of Eberwine to be permanently closed to keep students from having to cross the street between the two existing buildings during school hours.

Tonight’s public forum gets underway at six pm. The final meeting will be tomorrow night (Tuesday) at Clark’s Crossing’s community room on Sixth Street.
