Linda K. Forster, 67, of Oaktown, passed away November 5, 2015, at the BridgePointe Health Campus.

Linda began her teaching career at Washington Elementary School in Bridgeport, IL, and after a school consolidation, taught in the Red Hill School Corporation. Her teaching career lasted thirty-seven years. After retiring, she was a substitute teacher at the elementary and high school levels, for five years.

Linda was a gifted and caring individual. She was very creative and talented, as shown through her years of teaching and decorating. In addition to her love of all children, she especially doted on all her nieces and nephews. Linda and her husband, Donnie, shared a love for pets and had many animals throughout their life together. Linda was always supportive to friends and family. She touched many lives and will always be in our hearts.

Born January 30, 1948, in Vincennes, she was the daughter of Gerald and Mary  (Charlton) Blann – Crouse. Her parents; her husband, Donald Forster, whom she married on August 21, 1977, and who passed away in 2008; a nephew, Brian Holloman; her step-father, Bill Crouse; her grandmother, Maude Blann; and two half-brothers, Jack and John Holloman, preceded her.

Surviving are her sisters, Dianne Day and her husband, Nick, of Oaktown, IN, Jeanie Hedden and her husband, Dave, of Vincennes, and Luanne Gardner of Pensacola, FL; her brother, David Blann and his wife, Candy, of Lawrenceville, IL; nieces and nephews, Ashley Becher and her husband ,Matt, Sarah Potter and her husband Rick, Brandon Blann and his wife Misty, Barbie Prine and her husband Rob, Abby Boober and her husband, Allen, JJ Beard and his wife, Valerie, and  Jack Holloman; her great – nieces and nephews, Madison Becher, Carter Becher, Mason Potter, Britney Blann, Taylor Beard, Grant Beard, and Will Beard; an aunt, Margie Tolan; a cousin, Tammy Tolan; and a sister-in-law, Sheila Holloman of Vincennes.

Friends may visit with Linda’s family from 12:00 – 2:00 EDT on Monday, at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN. The funeral service will begin at 2:00. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
