All veterans give some, and some veterans give all.
That was the theme behind Thursday’s tribute to area Veteran’s at Vincennes University’s Red Skelton Performing Arts Center.
A video on the history of Veterans Day…as well as one with Vincennes Native Red Skelton explaining the meaning the meaning behind the Pledge of Allegiance were shown to the audience.
Director of Military Education Matt Schwartz says VU is proud to sponsor such programs which put veterans in such a positive light.
Following the programs there was a 21 gun salute by the All Weather Firing Squad and the playing of Taps to honor the men and women who have laid down their lives and paid the ultimate sacrifice for the cause of freedom.
