Secretary of State John Kerry told a crowd at Indiana University that the world is not unraveling but rather “coming together” through things like the Iran Nuclear Agreement.

Speaking at IU Kerry said the deal will keep tabs on Iran..

Kerry also  condemned terrorist attacks against Israelis, saying there is no justification for violence.

Kerry, who plans to visit the Mideast next week, says the U.S. backs Israel’s right to defend itself. The message was stronger in its support for the Jewish state than previous U.S. statements.

In addition, Kerry says the U.S. must continue to work on opening up overseas markets. He touted the new global Trans-Pacific Partnership deal. He called the deal good for Indiana..

In his speech,  Kerry also says curbing climate change is an environmental imperative.

Kerry spoke last evening at the opening of  IU’s new School of Global and International Studies.
