Over 300 High School students from across Knox County toured various industrial sites today as part of the Knox County Development Corporation’s “Tour of Opportunity.” The tour is designed to inform high school juniors about job prospects at various businesses in Knox County.

The day started at Vincennes University where students were greeted by VU President Chuck Johnson and State Schools Superintendent Glenda Ritz !

Ritz says now is the time for students to start looking around about potential career opportunities and asking questions of prospective employers about what type of jobs skills they’ll need for certain jobs.

Knox County Development Corporation Executive Director Kent Utt says there are good paying jobs in Knox County that are going unfilled right now. He says this is an opportunity for students to see what possibilities are out there and consider seeking employment locally.
