A maintenance elevator has gone pink.  However the color isn’t just for fun. Metro Elevator Incorporated in partnership with the Susan G. Komen Foundation launched it’s national Ride the Pink Elevator campaign at the construction site of Good Samaritan Hospital. This project started as a marketing edge but is something Roger Brummett, Vice President of Metro Elevator says has now become a passion of the company.

The elevator is nick Named “Steph” and is dedicated to hunt construction worker Staphanie Carnahan who faced her own battle with breast cancer. She says it’s an honor to be involved with such a great benefit to the community.

This is the first pink elevator in Indiana and the 6th in the U.S. The elevator will stay in place until early july 2016. Brummett says they anticipate this project to grow.

All of the proceeds raised with this effort will all go to benefit the breast cancer center at Good Samaritan Hospital
