The Knox County Area Planning Commission is looking to hire a new executive director. Current director, Dixie Shouse, is retiring in December. Knox County surveyor Dick Vermillion says they are looking to hire her replacement in November before Shouse leaves.
Vermillion says it’s also important to hire a replacement as soon as possible to give them time to learn how the records system works and learn more about zoning and subdivision ordinances. The position will be posted soon at the Knox County courthouse, and advertised in the Vincennes Sun Commercial.
