The United Way of Knox County is still looking for volunteers to work this year’s annual Day of Caring Event.
United Way Director Angie Goff says the Day of Caring is a way of giving back to those agencies which provide services to the community.
Goff says they are also seeking volunteers to staff their food collection sites at various locations in Vincennes and Bicknell.
Goff says all of the food collected will be distributed to area food pantries.
Goff says the United Way will have a display set-up this Saturday at the Vincennes Farmer’s Market for persons wishing to Volunteer. She says persons who’ve already signed up to work can pick-up their Day of Caring T-shirt and work assignment.
This year’s Day of Caring takes place on October 8th and 9th.
