Since the budget hearings, the Vincennes Parks & Recreation Dept has been putting together a list of projects they’d like to tackle over the next few years. At the top of that list is new playground equipment for Gregg Park.
Vincennes Parks Department Superintendent Steve Beamen presented the numbers for the new equipment at last nights city council meeting.
To replace both pieces of playground equipment in Gregg Park it would cost the city around $84,000. However, Beaman told council members this is something that’s long over due.

Beaman went on to say that by using the same manufacturer that they used for the old playground equipment, the city would receive a 40% discount.
The council will decide at a later date if they will approve the Vincennes Parks Board’s request.
