Vincennes’s Parks and Rec Superintendent Steve Beaman has been honored for his efforts in getting the Rainbow Beach Aquatic Center built.

The Vincennes Sun Commercial says Beaman was named as Difference Maker of the year from Duke Energy.

The honor was presented at a recent Indianapolis Indians game

Duke Energy government affairs and community relations manager Kurt Phegley said he saw Beaman’s efforts and was impressed how Beaman took the quote “bull by the horns and got it done.”. Phegley said given Beaman’s dedication in soliciting support and donations for the project, his was an easy choice for the recognition.

It’s the 2nd Difference Maker of the Year that Duke Energy has awarded in this 10-county.  Last year’s honoree was also from Knox County, Jim Osborne with the Indiana Miltary Musem.
