Illinois authorities continue to investigate a fatal wreck last night on US-50.
The two car accident happened just after 10pm Easter Daylight Time, just a mile west of the Red Skelton Bridge in the westbound lanes.
The Lawrence County Coroner was called to the scene, as one person reportedly died in the accident, while another was injured.
The driver of one of the cars reportedly fled the scene.
Vincennes Township assisted the Lawrence-Allison fire department at the scene.
The highway was shut down in the westbound lanes for several hours.
No other information has been released.
