Knox Co. Commissioners hear about a culvert issue from Apple Farms

Vincennes farmer has been feeling it even worse due a culvert that’s underneath Palmyra road. Larry Hancock of Apple Farms told members of the Knox County Commissioners last night that the culvert has caused damaged to his crops for a little over 2 years. He also made a suggestion on how to solve the issue.

County Commissioner Larry Holcher says there are several land owners involved with this problem, but he says as long as County Highway Superintendent Donnie Mize agrees that digging the east side of the culvert out is the best solution, then that is what will be done. However, the problem can’t be fixed until after fall harvest, which does nothing to help Hancok’s crop yields for this year.
