Mildred “Midge” Delores Rosborough

Mildred “Midge” Delores Rosborough, 82, of rural Sumner, Illinois, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015, at her residence. She was born November 30, 1932, in Crawford County, Illinois, the daughter of Alva and Hazel Bell (Fancil) Milam. She married Mervin Rosborough on December 2, 1950, and he survives.

Midge was a farm wife. She supported and worked beside her husband Mervin on their family farm. She was a member of the Sumner United Methodist Church. She enjoyed ceramics, painting, and was an avid reader. She served as Church Treasurer and taught Sunday school at Prairie Chapel Church. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceding Midge in death were her parents, one brother Clyde, three sisters, Joyce, Lillian, and Rosie along with one grandson, Cody Rosborough.

Survivors include her husband, Mervin of rural Sumner; three sons, Terry Rosborough and his wife Rhonda of Sycamore, Illinois, Tim Rosborough of Midland, Texas and Jim Rosborough and his wife Debra of Sumner, Illinois; one brother, Robert Milam of Robinson, Illinois; one sister, Betty Eubanks of Springfield, Missouri; four grandchildren: Brandy Edmonds, Shay Remus, Carisa Rosborough, Carlin Rosborough and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 5:00 pm at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, IL.

Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 pm until the service hour of 5:00 pm at the funeral home.

As per Midge’s request, her body will be cremated following the services.

Memorials may be made to the Sumner United Methodist Church.
