Helen Faye Marchino, 82, Vincennes, passed away at 12:20 am Thursday June 25, 2015 at the New Willow Manor.
She was born January 3, 1933 in Bellevue, Kentucky, the daughter of Jacob and Helen (White) Junkin.
Besides helping with the family farm, she had been the bookstore clerk at South Knox High School and she also worked in the school cafeteria. Helen was a member of the Homettes Club and volunteered for numerous organizations including the Lord’s Warehouse in Monroe City. She attended Upper Indiana Presbyterian Church where she had played the piano, and enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, gardening, and was an avid jogger often taking 5 mile runs.
Survivors include her husband, Tom Marchino, whom she married May 20, 1951; two sons, Thomas Marchino and his wife Glenda of Vincennes, Steve Marchino and his wife Sandy of Huntingburg, IN; two daughters, Kathy Cochran and her husband Danny of Brownsburg,  and Sue Harmon and her husband Mark of Indianapolis; two brothers, Robert “Bob” Junkin and his wife Zola of Vincennes, and Ron Junkin of Ragsdale;  a sister –in-law, Faye Junkin of Vincennes; 14 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Marchino; a brother, Lester Junkin; and a sister-in-law, Jackie Junkin.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday June 27, 2015 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Tromley officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
