Clarence L. Pickett, 94, of Vincennes, passed away June 16, 2015, at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Clarence had worked as a custodian at South Knox High School. He was a member of the Mission of Faith Church in Oatsville, IN. For several years, he was a resident at the Lodge of the Wabash. During WWII, he served in the 101st Calvary, in the Army, in the Pacific Theater.

Born August 12, 1920, in Millersburg, IL, he was the son of Benjamin and Anna (Schultz) Pickett. His parents; his brothers and sisters; a grandchild; his son, Randy Pickett; and his wife Martha (Cobb) Pickett, whom he married August 23, 1940, and who passed away December 28, 2006, preceded him.

Surviving are his children, Marsha Chambers of Vincennes, Mike Pickett and his wife, Mary, of Monroe City, IN, Terry Pickett and his wife, Delores, of Vincennes, Greg Pickett and his wife, Terry Sue, of Petersburg, IN, and John “Tony” Pickett of Brownsburg, IN; twelve grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted on Thursday, at 2:00, at Goodwin Funeral Home. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 – 2:00. Interment will be in Hamline Chapel Cemetery. A military memorial service will be conducted at the cemetery by the American Legion-VFW Firing Squad.
