William Robert “Bob” Thomas, 80, of 2742 Raney Drive, Vincennes, passed away at 9:30 am Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the New Willow Manor.

He was born June 16, 1934 in Gibson County to Elmer and Cora (Shaw) Thomas.

Bob retired as a railroad engineer working for the AW&W Railroad. He served his country in the Army and belonged to the Masonic Lodge, Moose, American Legion, and the Shriners.

Surviving is his son, Jeff (Suzanne) Thomas of Princeton; his step- children, William (Anne) Dreiman of South Bend, Steven (Rhonda) Dreiman of Monroe City, Edward (Lesa) Dreiman of Vincennes, and Debra (Rick) Stevens of Vincennes; his sisters, Betty (Webb) Snow, Doris June (Marlin) Wells, Sarah Etta (Don) Riley, and Barbara Jo ( Charlie) Miller; is grandchildren, Elyse and Evan Thomas; 11 step-grandchildren, and 15 step-great grandchildren,.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marjorie “Marge” (Meier) Dreiman Thomas, whom he married June 6, 1987 and preceded him on January 24, 2013; and his sisters Mary Ann (Phil) Kinnaman, Marie (Jack) Corn, and Connie (Bob) McCleland.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm (EDT) Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Tromley officiating. Burial will be in the Wilson Creek Cemetery.
