Patsy Louise (Robbins) Gouverneur

Patsy Louise (Robbins) Gouverneur, 84, Vincennes, passed away Friday, May 8, 2015 at her residence. Patsy was born September 9, 1930, in Terre Haute, the daughter of Louis “Loki” Sr. and Mae (Crock) Robbins. She married Carl Gouverneur on August 12, 1950. She retired from the Valley Advance (VU), then went on to be the office manager at the Vincennes Housing Authority. She was a member of the Old Cathedral Catholic Church, the Harmony Society, and was the secretary/treasurer of the Lincoln High School Class of 1948 Reunion Committee. She was also a brownie, cub scout, and girl scout leader.

Patsy is survived by her daughters, Carla James and her husband Dr. Jon James of Vincennes and Ann Gouverneur of Virginia Beach, VA; sons, Ernest Gouverneur of Vincennes and Curt Gouverneur and wife Regina of Beaverton, OR; eleven grandchildren, Anthony Gouverneur, Robin Gouverneur, Daniel Gouverneur, Patrick Gouverneur, Michael White, Mitchell White, Matthew White, Ryan James, Brandon James, Zachary Gouverneur, and Ian Gouverneur; five great-grandchildren; brother, Louis Robbins Jr. of Cypress Lakes, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl on October 9, 1996; and one sister, Emily Wysong.
Friends may visit the family on Sunday, May 10, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Vincennes Chapel, 313 Church St. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 12:00 PM also at the funeral home with Rev. David Fleck officiating. She will be laid to rest at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Old Cathedral Stained Glass Restoration Fund.
